Week 6: Chicken Bakes 8/14/24
Hola! I hope you have all had a great week and summer! (Can't believe it's over already)
I officially have one week left in the CCM! It has gone insanely fast but I'm so excited to get to Argentina and get to work, even though none of my district has our flight plans yet (don't worry mom, all will be well)
Meet Hermano Delgado: one of my Spanish teachers here in México! He is hilarious and is planning on proposing to his girlfriend but doesn't have a ring or a plan, so keep him in your prayers.
Every once in a while they whip out some chicken bakes from Costco and everyone fiens over them.
One night we were surprised to see chicken bakes on someone's plate and rushed over, only to wait 30 more minutes for half a chicken bake each because they were running slow. Let's just say it was worth the wait.

Sunday AND Tuesday we had devotionals from David A Bednar, and wow they were awesome. Yesterday he was at the provo MTC (shout out to all my homies at provo), and it was live streamed to all MTC’s around the world. We got to sing Called to Serve and everyone sang it in their own mission language. It was such an amazing opportunity and it is crazy to think: This is the fullness of times! The Gospel will be preached in every nation, kindred, and tongue, and that prophecy is becoming more and more real each day!

:My inspirational comp, Elder Nash:

Elder Bednar's first talk was about Christ's character, and he emphasized how Christ will always look outward when the natural man in us wants to look inward. And it's true, if you look in the scriptures, Christ is always focusing on the welfare of others; the purpose of His mortal mission and Atonement is to make it possible for us to achieve everything He has in store. I invite you all to find somewhere in the scriptures Christ looked to others when you would have focused on yourself, and then think and pray for ways you can serve and help others in your life. He will bless you and others as you put forth your best effort.
Love you all!
