Week 5: Nuggies in the A.M?! 8/7/24

Hola! Y bienvenidos a mi email!

This week has been great and gone by insanely fast wowza. It's crazy to think I only have 2 weeks until I leave for Argentina, but I'm getting more excited and more ready everyday.

We do this thing every week called helping others, it's just a small lesson with someone on Zoom. This week Elder Nash and I taught a sweet lady named Patricia from Mexico. The lesson started out rough, and it was not one of our best ones let me tell ya. But in middle of it I felt prompted to ask her to share her testimony of Christ. She shared a few simple things, and I didn't understand much, but she talked about a really rough time in her life. She was very emotional, and I was almost crying just listening to her, but she said that because of Christ, she was able to make it out and find peace and joy in her life. It was such a powerful experience, and strengthened my testimony of the gift of tongues. The gift of tongues is not just being able to speak, learn, and understand a language; it is also about being able to feel the spirit and connect with people despite a lack of understanding.

Our district and the other district in our house had a highly anticipated basketball game, and it was pretty close, but we unfortunately lost. We didn't make a single 3. ¿Cómo se dice “best 2 out of 3”?

Another day was so regular and unspecial that the most interesting thing about the day was having chicken nuggies for breakfast😍

If I'm being honest, my favorite part of each day is my 1 hour of personal study each day. Out of all the amazing things we get to do here at the CCM, nothing has grown my testimony and helped me feel my Savior's love more. And out of all the resources I have studied, my favorite is the Book of Mormon. As Joseph Smith said, the Book of Mormon is the most correct book on earth. It contains the fullness of the Gospel. And I know that whatever you are going through, nothing will help you more than reading the Book of Mormon. I invite you all to read from the Book of Mormon this week. Whether it's 30 min or one verse, I promise if you apply it to yourself and ask God if it's true, you will feel the peace and love Heavenly Father wants you to feel.

2nd Nephi 32: 3- “feast upon the words of Christ; for behold, the words of Christ will tell you all things what ye should do.”

Love you guys!

Thank you to all who have written me kind letters or emails, they give me lots of strength and motivation!

Send me an email, I love hearing from all of you!
