Elder Diapers 11/18/24

Today is a holiday in Argentina but I have no idea why, they have holidays like every week. So feliz feriado!

This week was awesome, I'm starting to have a lot of fun out here. I got my new comp, Elder Hughes. He's from California and he's got a lot of energy and loves to talk to everyone. We found a lot of people this week. Something funny is that people struggle to say "Hughes", so he tells them he's named Elder PaΓ±ales, or Elder Diapers because of the Huggies diaper brand...

We helped an hermana paint her house and it was literally like crumbling when we painted it. There was also like holes in the walls so we had to get in the holes with the brush. It was an interesting service protect, but as always super fun to serve and help out others!

The work is going strong and we have two friends who are progressing pretty well with their baptismal dates. Lots of finding, lots of working with members and references, and lots of spiritual lessons!

Miracle: we figured out there's a super nice supermarket in our area and have been going to a corner store for groceries this whole time. πŸ« πŸ€©

Real Miracle: we had lunch with an hermana and she gave us a reference of a lady she met on a bus. She said she shared her testimony and told her about the church. A couple days later we went to visit her with the hermana, and we had a great lesson and it seemed like she had a lot of interest. Little stuff like this is what makes being a missionary the best job in the worldπŸ™ŒπŸ˜

My family knows you will never catch me in Christmas mood before Thanksgiving, but I am always in the mood for mΓ s de CristoπŸ˜‰

Ether 12:41 - And now, I would commend you to seek this Jesus of whom the prophets and apostles have written, that the grace of God the Father, and also the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost, which beareth record of them, may be and abide in you forever. Amen.

I know that if we SEEK Jesus, in every part of our lives, His grace will change us, lift us up, and "abide in (us) forever". Christ doesn't love us casually, so don't be casual in your discipleship of Christ. Give Him everything and He will give back even more. I've  learned that so much on a mission so far. His hand is there, you just have to grab it.

Love and miss you all!😁
