"I sell Broccoli" 10/14/24

Whats up guys!

This week has been so long holy cow I can't believe 7 days can feel like 1 month. But anyway, here's some of the highlights:

One day I was feeling pretty down after a long lunch appointment that I couldn't understand much because they talked weird. Then right after we ran into a guy in the streets and he walked up to us this was the interaction no joke:

Guy: "do you know what this is?"
*he was holding broccoli in his hands
Us: "yeah"
Guy: "I sell it ....   you want some?"
Us:"......no, sorry"
Guy: .... chao"
*leaves

Let me tell you this was about the weirdest tender mercy I've ever had but I laughed so hard that I was not bummed out anymore. The Lord works in mysterious ways

Ok Monday after P-day some Elders that live super far away were gonna stay with us over night, so we decided to do intercambios and trade companions for the night. I was up to the test and wanted to go with Elder Giles, another greenie that came in at the same time as me. I was kind of nervous because neither of us speak fluent Spanish yet and I had to lead the area. So we had a good lesson, despite the fact that he talked so much we couldn't end the lesson until about 75 min in. Then we just had to do some contacts because we had no more plans, so I led and we had some contacts but really no success. Then, at the end I was feeling kind of defeated and the night was almost over, but we decided to do a few more contacts. Literally the last house we were gonna knock, we found a sweet old lady and shared a message about the plan of salvation and families, and scheduled another visit the next day. It was so cool, and we were both super hyped, because we did our best, which was not much, and the Lord out of His mercy made us instruments in His hands. It was awesome. I know that no matter where we are in life or who we are, we can be instruments in the hands of the Lord if we are willing to let God prevail in our lives. Find ways to serve in your circumstances and the Lord will consecrate your efforts.

That's all for this week! Hope you all have a great week! I love getting your emails and am grateful for all of you!

Much luv, Elder Milne
