Sloppy Joe's and Baptism 10/1/24
Hola amigos what's good in the hood of wherever you find yourself?
I'm still in Argentina and it's getting lit up in here. Literally. It's starting to get hotter and my fear of the 125 degree summer is ever present.
But it's also getting 'lit' like slang wise. We had a baptism this week! Her name is Florencia, and she is 15. We worked with her almost every day this week to help her pass the interview and she did! It was super exciting and awesome to see her follow the Savior and be baptized. A member named Americo (he's super dope) baptized her. Here's a picture that we forgot to be in!! (I promise they were happy)
Elder Cook also cooked Sloppy Joe's for after the baptism, and they were super good but it was hilarious because the members absolutely fien over them and it's hilarious to hear them try to say it!
We've been playing fΓΉtbol every Friday night and the locals call me "speed" in a very funny accent because of my skills (shout out to my Murray SC boys
).

). Elder Palacin from Peru has been hanging out with us in a trio since Friday because his comp Elder Lewis went home early (RIP). But he's a goober and it's fun hanging out with him and speaking solo espaΓ±ol
. Speaking of which, the transfer is now over and I will now only be speaking Spanish for the next 6 weeks so chao wish me luck.

Holy crap transfers are over! That was fast. I've learned a ton the last couple of months but no time to waste, got to hop back on the grind. Satan don't rest so I won't either.

I was gonna drop a banger spiritual thought but I think it's too deep and too late to try. So instead I will let Elder Holland do the talking
(he is much better with words anyways).
(he is much better with words anyways). In his talk "Tomorrow the Lord will do Wonders Among You", he says this absolute mic dropper:
"My brothers and sisters, the first great commandment of all eternity is to love God with all of our heart, might, mind, and strength—that’s the first great commandment. But the first great truth of all eternity is that God loves us with all of His heart, might, mind, and strength. That love is the foundation stone of eternity, and it should be the foundation stone of our daily life."
Honestly enough said. But actually I testify of this so hard. I think about how much I mess up and come short, yet He always blesses me when I do my best, because He loves me infinitely. I promise this for all of you as well, and I know it because I know He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to atone for our sins, and redeem us. I have felt the spirit and become more than I could imagine with His help. So I invite you to do what you can in every aspect of your life to be like Him, and then when you come short, allow His grace to uplift you and strengthen you. His love is unconditional, your worth is set, and the price is paid.
I love you all so much and am grateful for every single one of you! Sorry for the very long email, and sorry for whoever has emailed me and I haven't gotten back to, I'm insanely busy and I'll try to be better.
Much love, Elder Milne
