Los Doctores 2/3/25
This week was epic! If I had to use one story to sum it up, it would be this:
We visited a person that had been taught before by the missionaries and met her, she was super nice. Then her teenage daughter came out with her toddler son, and he saw us and started crying. We didn't know why, but then the mom said it's because he thought we were doctors! So now every time we pass by, he starts crying and we feel super bad but it's hilarious.
I'm having a hard time remembering what we did this week, but it was great! We had lots more lessons with members (finally), and also turned on ministering mode and helped an inactive member come to church (more coming soon). Also one of our recent converts who hasn't been super active said she wants to go to the temple, and bore her testimony in church! Another one said he wants to get the priesthood so we're super hyped for that!
This week the sacrament meeting was so powerful. First off, we got a reference from a member of a guy who is suffering bad from depression. We went but only met his mom. Sunday, he appeared in the chapel and we met him and sat by him in church. It was a crazy miracle. Also, the testimonies were so good! I love fasting because I'm always super hungry physically, but I have an asado spiritually. My mind kept going to one of my favorite stories from the bible:
In Matthew 9, the woman with blood issues suffered for 12 years. She had so much faith in Christ that "she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole." (21) When Jesus saw her, he said: "'Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole'. And the woman was made whole"
I love the thought of being made whole by Christ! Through our faith in Christ, He will make us whole and comfort us in our trials. I can't even imagine how happy this woman was when she was healed. Christ's small action of helping this woman was nothing compared to His infinite Atonement, so why aren't we rejoicing and sharing the healing and hope He gives us through His personal sacrifice for us! I love this gospel!
Love you all! Have a great one
