Root Beer NOOOOO 3/3/25

Hola a todos!  (sorry this ones long)...

I hope you all had a splendid week! Mine was full of ups and downs like a coconut in the ocean

First off, turned 19 and had the most epic birthday ever! My family sent me a package (love you mom), and I got root beer packets, mac and cheese powder, and maple to make syrup! I also got a few bracelets and ties, and this cool boxing headband!! Absolutely épico! Went and lunched an asado with Familia Diaz, topped with a cake ! Oh yeah!  This crazy awesome grandpa played us a song on his ukulele type instrument called a Charango (it's from Bolivia), and it was fantástico! All topped off with a call with the amazing Milne family (shout out) and straight up good birthday vibes. Thanks mom for giving birth to me!

Also, the next two days we had a conference with a seventy, Elder Costa and his wife! They are super cool, I highly recommend his conference talks! They talked about our mission purpose and how it is centered in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They also invited us to work with the members better by offering support and lifting their burdens. We found out 2 of our leaders who are struggling with health problems and offered to give them blessings! It was an awesome miracle!

We've been low key struggling with our goals and this transfer and no one came to church this week. Not one friend or one recent convert. It felt like we did all we could to help them come and something "happened" to every single one. It's been rough not having a ton of success but between all the let downs there is always miracles, and God is always in the details. I've been pretty hard on myself but I was praying and after I just opened my scriptures and turned to D&C 58 randomly. This is what I read first:

1) Hearken, O ye elders of my church (Elder Milne), and give ear to my word, and learn of me what I will concerning you, and also concerning this land (Cordon del Plata) unto which I have sent you

2) For verily I say unto you, blessed is he that keepeth my commandments, whether in life (the good times) or in death (the bad times); and he that is faithful in tribulation, the reward of the same is greater in the kingdom of heaven.

3) Ye cannot behold with your natural eyes, for the present time, the design of your God concerning those things which shall come hereafter, and the glory which shall follow after much tribulation.

4) For after much tribulation come the blessings. Wherefore the day cometh that ye shall be crowned with much glory; the hour is not yet, but is nigh at hand.

WHAT!!! It was crazy, literally it was like God was speaking to me. I know that God is there and that Christ lives! If we make and keep covenants in our lives there is NOTHING that can prevent us from feeling joy and peace. So study and use the atonement of Christ in your life! Go take on that challenge and see what God can make of you through it! Satan won't stop but neither will I, because like my dad always said, "good guys ALWAYS win"!

Love you all tons!

Shout out: happy birthday Justin Bieber!!
